Alcance

Data communication, data formats, and related test plans (for conformity and interoperability) for road vehicles; this includes:

  • Data communication, in-vehicle networking, and extended vehicle use cases;
  • Onboard and offboard data communication services;
  • Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) layer services and protocols for in-vehicle networking;
  • Extended vehicle communication interfaces (wired or wireless) for:
    • V2X communication (vehicle side);
    • Vehicle-to-grid communication.
